Lone Ridge Vizslas The Vizsla is a sleek, muscular, medium-sized hunting dog with a beautiful rusty-gold colored short coat. A natural hunter endowed with a good nose and above-average ability to take to training . They are a lively, gentle, affectionate, and sensitive yet fearless breed with a protective instinct. Vizslas have power and drive in the field but are a tractable and affectionate companion in the home. This breed is a versatile hunter, excelling at pointing, retrieving, tracking, and much more.
Kluso - Vizsla stud The Vizsla is a Hungarian hunting dog that probably descended from the Transylvanian hound and the Turkish yellow dog. More recently the German Shorthaired Pointer and the Pointer have been added to the breed. As of WW II, the Vizsla was close to extinction but a group of Hungarians saved some of the breed and built back the breed. After the war, Russia took control of the country and was feared to destroy the Vizsla due to their symbolic aristocratic status. Dogs were smuggled out of the country and sent to Austria and other countries such as America. Vizsla simply means Pointer in Hungarian. Vizsla puppies born May 6, 2009 are all sold.
